A Fairytale Princess

Spending most of my childhood in Los Angeles where my mother worked, I got to spend a lot of time at Disney Land. So naturally I thought I was a princess. I mean... I was a princess, just not in the royal way. Another thing that has affected my aesthetic are my Mother's and my Aunt's love for antique furniture and jewelry. I have always loved my Aunt's corseted wedding dress that she made by hand. Being influenced by Marie Antoinette and Madonna, my Aunt used vintage lace, flowers and created a skirt with adjustable lengths using satin drawstrings. Her fairytale wedding inspired this post yesterday, and both my Mother and Aunt jumped at the opportunity to help. I collected props to add like my vintage rhinestone crown, vintage rhinestone bracelets, an old children's storybook, a bottle of fairy dust from Disney Land, my mom's Kate Spade satin bow shoes (very reminiscent of Cinderella), an antique rhinestone purse and an antique locket that is a family heirloom. I hope you enjoy this fairytale as much as I do!
