A Novel Idea

Need a gift idea or want to fill in a few gaps on your own holiday wish list?

Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations I saw this exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum last year and was amazed by the beautiful curation and attention to detail.

Eyewear I came across this find while perusing the bookstore and fell in love with all the antique and vintage sunnies on these pages. Very inspiring and fun to flip through.

Kusama I recently attended the Yayoi Kusama exhibit at The Whitney (multiple times) this year, I could't get enough! They had various books available, but I thought this particular one was a good choice.

Fashion Designers Sketchbooks My Aunt gave me this book for my birthday this year. I thought it provided an insightful look into the creative process, not to mention beautiful illustrations.

Louis Vuitton / Marc Jacobs While in Paris this Summer I could not resist stopping by this exhibit. One floor devoted to Vuitton, the other to Jacobs' designs as creative director for the LVMH brand.

Grace: A Memoir I do not have my own personal copy of the Grace Coddington memoir yet, but I have heard rave reviews. Looking forward to investing in this book.

  1. Haha, for me any book with pretty pictures or by Amartya Sen would make me crazy happy. But books get so expensive, you just have to wait for people to give them to you!
