The Nesting Continues...

As my soon to be moving day looms in the air, I have been frequenting One Kings Lane as a part of my morning ritual and storing up decorating idea for my new place. Most of my furniture has been purchased, it is just about finding those special pieces that really tie everything together. I am expecting a studio filled with gold accents, bright colors and a few cat knick-knacks here and there.

Pajama Rama

I found this vintage pajama set in amazing condition at the Brooklyn Flea Market, I love the baby blue piping along the shirt against the pale pink silk. Truly a great find for pajama lovers like me!

Bright Blooms

I got this skirt at the Marc Jacobs sale last weekend, along with a few other pieces from the Spring and Resort collection. I love the bold chrysanthemum print and the primary colors actually match just about anything. I am not embarrassed to say I have worn this skirt 3 days in a row!

Art in the Park

Madison Square Park has rotating art installations that are always a pleasant surprise while grabbing some fries at Shake Shack. This Spring and Summer installation of painted rope sculptures by New York based artist Orly Genger titled Red, Yellow and Blue brighten up the park with primary colors.

Retro Print

Here are the last of my photographs from my trip to Dallas in June. This Kate Spade dress has been a favorite of mine for a few years now, the print and red piping are a perfect combination. When ever I am in doubt of an outfit to wear for any occasion, this is always one of my top choices.

Scalloped Neckline

I found this scalloped neckline halter dress while vintage shopping in Dallas a few weeks ago. I love how the cut resembles vintage swimsuits, I even wore black lace bloomers underneath since it is quite short, which made it feel more like a romper. The lucite mother of pearl purse was also a Dallas vintage find. Lucite clutches run pretty pricey on ebay and etsy these days so I am glad I snagged this one for a steal at $40!

Happy Fourth!

So far I have spent today's national holiday walking to brunch, hanging out at Bryant Park and sitting inside with the air conditioning on full blast making snow cones. I cannot even think about going back outside until the sun has gone down. Tonight I will be watching fireworks from my rooftop and celebrating with friends! Hope everyone else is having a great fourth!
