My home town, and one of my favorite places to thrift! Texas has a growing reputation for all things vintage. From Dallas to Austin there are tons of spots to explore, here are a couple of my favorites I never miss when in town!
1. Vintage Martini // 2923 North Henderson Ave. Dallas, TX
Absolutely a must see, this shop even makes the trip to the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show I mentioned in my NYC post. Vintage Martini has a well curated designer selection ranging from feminine classics like Chloe and Valentino to some more avant grade pieces from Comme des Garcons.
2. Dolly Python // 1916 North Haskell Ave. Dallas, TX
Half vintage clothing store, half thrift mall full of knick knacks. This place is always a fun stop, especially with one of the most affordable selections of vintage fur coats I have yet to see!
3. Lula B's // 2639 Main Street Dallas, TX
Such a fun store to peruse vintage clothing furniture, jewelry and other trinkets. This vintage mall has so much to offer it expanded to two locations! Not only have I found many collectable vintage accessories here, it is where I did most of my apartment shopping. I even scored a set of 6 gold tumblers for $20 only to see the exact same set show up on One Kings Lane for $500 the next week!
4. Feathers Boutique // 1700 B. South Congress Austin, TX
This one is not in Dallas, but I had to include it for those in the area!
There are so many places to check out while in Austin, but Feathers is by far my favorite. The place can definitely claim the title of "Quality of Quantity" over Austin vintage shops, my favorite find being a classy cream silk Chanel tuxedo blouse with gold buttons under $200.
