Painterly Stripes

Inspiring Bloggers to Follow

I wanted to share a few of the bloggers who are inspiring me right now, and thought I could give some inspiration back with a little personal portrait for each of these lovely ladies along with an introduction!

Audrey from Frassy is a such sweetheart and I have loved getting to know her through social media recently. Her beautifully editorial photographs are something to behold, they literally take your breath away. Jumping is this graceful ladies forte and I don't think anyone else could pull it off better! In addition to everything else Audrey is a stunning writer and her musings on life will captivate you. PS. I am pretty sure we were separated at birth or as she says, "sartorial sisters"!
Noor from Queen of Jetlags is just as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Noor over the past year or so, and it has been amazing to watch her become such a big influence in this community. She is literally the Queen of Jetlags and I hope you have as much fun following her travels around the world as I do!
Emily from Stiletto Beats has such a big heart and I am so glad to call her a blogger friend (we will meet in real life one day, promise)! This Cali girl has a classy sporty style that she pulls off so well, I am always inspired by her unexpected combinations.
Haleigh from Making Magique captures the French lifestyle at its best. Her Parisian adventures are photographed so beautifully it is more like dreaming than scrolling when going through her blog. Not to mention this girl can write, I have had some real 'question the meaning of life' moments while reading her eloquently written posts which is truly something to be sought after in this blogger world.

San Francisco Travel Guide

My trip to San Francisco was filled with beautiful blooms and candy colored buildings. I loved walking around the different neighborhoods and admiring each apartment. I wanted to share my favorite discoveries to
check out if you ever pass through the Bay Area!

The Japanese Tea Gardens were just starting to bloom when I visited, I am sure it is even more breathtaking once all the cherry blossoms are awake. Very peaceful little garden to walk through with a little tea and snack spot. I recommend visiting the Academy of Sciences and De Young Museums (within walking distance) first and then stopping by the gardens for a relaxing break.

The Mill was so yummy I had to visit it twice! My favorite toast was the country bread with butter and cinnamon sugar, it was literally melt-in-your-mouth-amazing. I would also try the whole wheat bird bread with butter and strawberry jam if you visit with a friend, Patrick and I got one of each and shared.

Coming from the home of the cronut I was skeptical about Mr Holmes Bakehouse and their cruffins. The first morning I tried to get a cruffin they sold out, and I probably would have called it quits if the chocolate croissant I got instead wasn't the best croissant I have ever had. Imagine the lightest, flakiest pastry and it still would not be as good, I can't even do it justice by trying to describe it here. So I thought, these cruffins must be worth the wait! Let's try this again... and they were worth every minute spent waiting in line.

Mission Cheese was my answer to the end of a long day of exploring the city. Getting to look through all the photos I had taken, catch up on emails while enjoying a delicious cheese flight and a glass of wine was perfection.

Happy Travels!

New Favorite Vintage Shop in San Francisco

I spent a week in San Francisco after our Coachella weekend in Palm Springs. I did a lot of walking, eating and exploring and will be sharing a post with all my SF favorite spots later this week! My favorite find was Relic Vintage. You probably know I am an avid vintage junky by now, so you know it is a true find when I say this spot is now at the top of my list! The selection at Relic was so well edited. Every single item was in beautiful condition and very wearable, this place was such a gem! I found this amazing mohair swing coat from the 1960's as well as a faux leopard coat and sequin embellished cocktail dress (I will try to photo them soon!)

Sharing this pastel look tomorrow, xx

Hair Therapy With Keratin Complex

I have been dying my hair since the 6th grade. You name it, I've done it... highlights, bleached, pink tips, ombre and now my new favorite: balayage.  Luckily I have thick healthy hair that can put up with my mood swings, but dry/split ends have pretty much always been my norm and I am always looking for a new treatment to help them out. Thankfully Keratin Complex reached out to me with the perfect solution! I have been using the new Vanilla Bean Deep Conditioner in unison with the Thermo-Shine Thermal Protectant Mist for the past week and can notice softer locks already. I especially notice improvements while brushing out tangles from having my hair up in a bun all day (usually my ends stick together causing knots which then pull out). Thankful for my new side-kick, looking forward to more longterm results!
